Mya J. Montoya, CRNA, Joins Asheville Anesthesia Associates
Mya J. Montoya, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, has joined Asheville Anesthesia Associates. Ms. Montoya graduated from Augusta State University in Augusta, Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree (Magna Cum Laude) and from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (Magna Cum Laude). She received her Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesiology degree from Western Carolina University, Cullowee, North Carolina. Prior to joining Asheville Anesthesia Associates, Ms. Montoya was employed at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia, in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) are advanced practice registered nurses who are certified to administer anesthesia after completing anesthesia graduate school programs and a rigorous national exam.
