Adopt-A-Highway — AAA Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) from Asheville Anesthesia Associates, have adopted a section of Highway 81 (Swannanoa River Road). Kudos to the following CRNAs who participated in a recent "Spring Cleaning" event: Katie Callahan, Dustin Degman, Ian Hewer, Michele Mise, Sherea Sisler, Bob Sondgerath and CRNA Supporters Jessica Pollard and Carolyn Duncan. Thanks for keeping Asheville "Clean and Green"!
The Adopt-A-Highway Program was established in 1998 by the North Carolina Department of Transportation in response to growing public concern regarding litter along the state's highways.
It is a joint effort between community volunteers and the NCDOT. Its purpose is to decrease the amount of litter on North Carolina's roadsides and improve the beauty and quality of the environment.
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) are advanced practice registered nurses who are certified to administer anesthesia after completing anesthesia graduate school programs. At Asheville Anesthesia, under the supervision of the Anesthesiologists, the CRNAs take care of patients before, during and after surgical or obstetrical procedures.
